Join the LiquidPlanner Developer Forum > Is there any Webhook functionality we could use?

Hi there,

We have been using Pivotal Tracker (www.pivotaltracker.com) on a daily basis and it's a great software. One of the features we like it most is the ability to set a webhook url (link here) that receives notifications after every change on our projects - so we can handle the changes on our side.

Is there anything similar on Liquid Planner? If not, would that be something you might consider to have?

Thanks in advance

André

Hi André,

Not at the moment, but I think webhooks could be a really interesting feature. For the time being, polling is probably your best bet. What kinds of changes are you trying to track?

Hi Adam,

Also having PivotalTracker in comparison, it calls the webhook for each and every change on stories, dispatching the slice of data that has been changed. That is a good approach since we can watch and take specific actions just over the specific data that has been modified.

But if we'd have to prioritize the events, I'd say:

1) task added
2) task removed
3) task completed
4) tasks prioritization changed
5) task's owner changed
6) task's estimate updated

Although if that's something you consider it's a bit far to take place, I'd say a single webhook call for general workspace updates could be a good start.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

André
