Spaces, projects and project governance

I’ve just begun test driving liquid planner for my team before we all commit to learning/using it. My questions relate to project governance in a team environment: If everyone in my company is working in the same space, can folks other than the owner of the space establish new projects and tasks? Are folks other than the person who established a project and its tasks able to modify that project or tasks later? I hope these questions make sense. Thanks! |

Hi Larry. At present, LiquidPlanner has an open edit model. Just the people you invite to join the space can view AND edit the plan. This open edit model is designed to maximize collaboration. Note that LiquidPlanner keeps a rich change history so you can see who made edits and we also keep everything that is deleted in the “trash can” in case you need to recover it later. The best practive with LiquidPlanner is to put all your projects in one space so that you can schedule people across of the projects. Usually a little structure at the beginning goes a long way. If you are going to manage multiple projects in LP, you might want to spend some time playing around with our categories feature. There are some other threads on that in the forum. There are a few things only the space owner can do. The owner does the inviting, the owner can kick people out, the owner can empty the trash. The space owner is the “owner” of the data. Let me know if I can help you more. |
