notification of new task assigned to me

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, searched but didn’t see it. If I assign a new task to someone (or if a task is assigned to me), what’s the best way to get notified? I see a [needs attention] item either in my space activity or my upcoming items? And clear it by going in & either saving the original estimate or putting in a new one?

Just started playing with LP & love it so far.

@chris: We’re looking at setting up email notification for this in a future release.

At the moment, you might find it helpful to sign up to get your upcoming tasks mailed to you daily or weekly. That’s how I keep track of what has been recently assigned to me.

how can i run the subscribed report on demand?

The dashboard/notification upgrade is now about 2 weeks from being released (by mid June). You’ll be able to be notified by email when you are assigned new work or changes are made to your items. You’ll be able to see this same information on demand from your dashboard.

Another way to see what has changed, is to use the filter buttons. Go into the estimates or schedule tab. On the button bar, find the button that is (probably) set to “Active Items”. Select this button and you will get a list of quick filters. Check out “Created (last 7d)”. This can be combined with filtering by person, project, or category to zero in on specific changes.
