I have an alert that says the estimate was made by another person. How do I clear the alert? I don’t want to change the estimate and there is no accept button I can see.

If it’s your task and you agree with the estimate then it’s a bit quirky at the moment. I just had a similar situation, for instance:

Add Filtering Labels: 1-3d

That was fine, maybe a little high, but I figure it’s close enough. Until we come up with an “accept button” there, you can trick the system by trivially changing the estimate: 1.0 – 3.0 in my case.

This is one of those silly beta rough edges we need to polish ;)

This is pretty significant for us. Given that there doesn’t appear to be anything to stop someone else changing my task the minimum would be an option to accept or reject the change that they made.

Hi Rob – it is a little quirky that you have to change the estimate slightly for the system to detect a change (eg. change the 3.0 to 3.1). If you want to reject an estimate entirely, switch the edit pane to the Work History tab and you can clear the last estimate.

Why not just clear the flag after you’ve looked at it? Pretend it’s a quark, and you’re the observer…just change the spin.

LiquidPlanner—Quantum Alerting!
There are a lot of alerts that really need to stick around, such as the “Hey your project is going to finish late” alert. The case Brad mentions above though is a good candidate for some easy way to dismiss. We’ll have to think about that a bit more.

@eric.b – We’ll fix this because it annoys us too; it might involve some very complicated negative time stuff and ionization so give us until the next sprint to work through it :)
