Collaborate TabWhen a task is selected in the collaborate tab, several options will appear: Short description, Discussion, Detailed notes, Attached documents, and Links, all features which facilitate collaboration among your team.
Short DescriptionIf you entered a description with the task when you created it in the work detail pane, it will appear here. Or you can enter a description here by clicking [edit]. Use this section to capture a brief overview of the task or provide quick documentation you may need later. You can delete the short description by clicking [edit], selecting all of the text and hitting delete, and saving the changes. There is no (practical) character limit on the description you enter. DiscussionIf a comment was entered in the details pane, it will appear here. Another way to post a comment is to click the [add comment] link and then create or paste any message you want in the rich text editor. Comments will appear from newest to oldest, and any comment made by you can be deleted or edited by clicking the associated link. You cannot edit or delete comments made by other people. There is no (practical) limit on the number of characters you can enter here. Detailed NotesClick [edit] and the formatting toolbar and text field will appear. Unlike the “short description,” this field is a rich-text editor, which means you can create or paste virtually any content. To include images see Displaying images in descriptions. There is no character limit on the description you enter. Don’t forget to save your changes. Attached DocumentsClick [add file] and then the [Browse…] button to locate your document. Titling the document by version can prevent confusion when teams are working on many iterations of a document simultaneously. Once it’s uploaded, a [delete] link will appear and you can delete the document. Once deleted, documents cannot be recovered. Note that while the default size limit is 100MB, this can be increased by contacting support@liquidplanner.com. LinksAdding a link is helpful when referencing any material on the web. It’s an easy way to embed an essentially limitless amount of information pertinent to the task without copy/pasting the information into the task. |
