Task ID more prominent

This comes to me from my offshore folks; it’s a bit tricky to see the Task ID number. I think I can only see it in Estimate view. In any case sometimes it gets a little confusing as to which task we are referring when we make assignments and try to cross reference them with incoming billing.

Am I missing a way to make it more prominent? Thanks, MW

I assume you have already found out how to add and position the Task ID column using the Actions | Advanced menu button. Currently, customizing columns is only supported on the Estimates view.

There is a trick you can use to get it from other views:

1: Select the item you are interested in

2: Go to the actions menu and select “Link to selection”

3: You get a dialog box with a perma-link to that item. This is meant for emailing, but you can grab the ID from the end (e.g. “id=20279”)
