Fast task entry

Instead of clicking add task, save, add task, save, add task, save …. which takes ages to enter a significant number of tasks would it be possible to batch enter tasks. A user interface where there is a multi line text field. Each line excluding blank lines becomes a new subtask of the current project. There should be buttons specifying the category and project. Perhaps even the estimates could be Example: would create 4 tasks. I guess it is similar to the import CSV function but you enter the information in a text field instead of loading an external file. |

Multi-line editing is in our backlog, though it hasn’t scheduled yet. In the mean time, import is a great alternative, though since LiquidPlanner currently only imports either the project or category, you will still have to assign one or the other once you get the items in your space. |

Actually, if LP could consume an email message with the proper in-body tagging of data and add it as a task in a project, many of o ur folks would be very very happy. |

Just for reference, we implemented “Add Multiple”, found in the “Add” menu which give you roughly the functionality Brad outlines in the original post. |
