I love liquidplanner. I recently retired my Basecamp account as Liquid Planner is more intuitive and useful.

Big question:
Will there be a mobile product coming that allows me to track/make edits/create new projects, tasks, etc. via, say, Windows Mobile devices?

The app I used with Basecamp was called “Carry the Day” http://www.carrytheday.com which was fairly nice to use.

Any plans to do something similar?

Thanks again,
Scott

Hi Scott – great to hear. Mobile support is a high priority feature on our backlog, however it is not scheduled for a sprint yet so I don’t have a date. My best estimate is 2nd half of the year. On the upside, you won’t have to pay extra for it. We like to develop incrementally, so we’ll probably start simple and add more as we discover what the community needs in the way of mobile.

I’d like to second the motion for a mobile solution. I’m happy to start simple at first. I would just love it if Liquid Planner could synch a hierarchical list of my projects and tasks. Check into www.rememberthemilk.com. They have a mobile version now that synchs to my BlackBerry, which I can then get to synch w/ Outlook. This is fantastic. I can edit tasks in Outlook in the office, synch my BlackBerry, make a change in an airport on my BlackBerry, use the Remember the Milk mobile synch to upload the task to their website and view it online on their website later as well. They also allow users to go offline and use their website offline (with Google gears) which is outstanding for use in a plane. Sure, I’d like to be able to do more, but this would be a huge step to improve usability. I can be patient for the rest.
