How is my data secured in LiquidPlanner?

Data Security in LiquidPlannerWe use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) to encrypt all data within LiquidPlanner, as well as communications between LiquidPlanner and other applications (e.g. Outlook). Emails originate from our server, not from a user’s computer, and all calls or actions in LiquidPlanner are verified. Passwords are validated with a user’s email address and then stored as a one way encryption, so they cannot be reverse engineered. This is why you will always have to create a new password if you have forgotten yours. All data you add to your LiquidPlanner space is stored behind a firewall and hosted at our off-site data center, Adhost. Adhost has a redundant power supply, and all necessary precautions have been taken to protect the servers in the event of a natural disaster (check their website for more information). LiquidPlanner data is backed up hourly and nightly, which includes application security checks and cross-space security checks. Your data is so secure in LiquidPlanner that we don’t even have access to it without your permission. To enable us to provide technical support to your sit edirectly, the space owner has to select “Space Settings” and then check the box “Grant LiquidPlanner technical support permission to view this space.” We’ve done everything we can to protect your data; it’s the only way we can sleep at night! |

We’d really appreciate it if you added the ability to require strong passwords for users associated with a project, e.g., http://www.cio.uiuc.edu/policies/passwords/inde…. |
