User Forum > Alerts via email?

Hi!

Ok, I am getting into LP now and I am campaigning for it internallty.

Now... alerts. Doesn't LP have any mechanism to send those as emails? When a task gets into trouble I mean?

regards, Göran

The current notification system will inform you of changes (edits) made to any item you own or any item you set a watch on (or indirectly if you set a watch on a folder or tasklist.)

If you have your personal upcoming task list sent to you in email, the red flag state will be reflected on that. You may want to set the frequency to this to daily.

We don't have a dedicated "In trouble" report that we email out, but several people have asked for this. I'll add your request to theirs and we will work this into the wishlist priorities.

I second that. I actually requested this a while ago and I think my request just "fell through the cracks", but I hope that this movement gains steam because for me and the way our team uses Liquid Planner it has got to be one of the biggest things lacking in LP. By adding this feature I think you cater to a lot more people.

I would like to have the option of setting an altert to be emailed to me when a task becomes at risk, and then again when late (deadline is met).

I would also like to be able to schedule a manual alter as a reminder for an item. See one of the things we use LP for is task management. So if I have some sort of responsibility for an item that I want to be reminded about, I would like to be able to set a manual scheduled alert/reminder to be sent to me so I make sure not to drop the ball.

This should be different than the existing alert icon and email notification (daily email for instance) in case I'm so wrapped up in my work I don't check my LP page online, or haven't done any estimating or scheduling for an item.

Please contact me to pick my brain on the concept. I would be happy to share my thoughts!
