User Forum > What's the best way to view the time history for a task

Is there a way to view the time history for a task without having to export the data to Excel? I'd love to be able to select a task and see how much time has been recoded against it, buy who, and on what days.

You bet, you'll want to use the Total Work Trend report. There is a table at the bottom of the graph if your selection is on a task.

I think I must be missing something. When I look at that report, I get a list of the estimation history, but I don't get a list of the time entries that were recorded against the task. I'm trying to answer the question of "Why did it take so long to complete this task?" I'm hoping for a way to see who recorded time, when it was recorded, and any comments that they recorded against that time entry.

The detailed history table only shows up when you have a task selected. I you select a container, you will just see the trend graph.

Let's us know if this is not what you were looking for.
