User Forum > DNS Connectivity Issues at many sites including LP

DNSMadeEasy Inc., a major provider of domain name lookup service for many websites is experiencing connectivity issues. LP like many thousands of others uses this service to help your computer find LP (it's like the internet version of the phone book). The DNSMadeEasy service has been slow or unreachable at times during the last hour.

The root of the problem is that DNSMadeEasy is being flooded with bogus requests out of China (a.k.a. a denial of service attack). Major Tier 1 service providers are assisting them and we trust they will have this resolved shortly.

DNSMadeEasy reporting operations back to normal.
