Topic: feature ideas & requests / Changing an Entity's Type I’d like to be able to change a workitem into a subproject. The project I’m managing is a software development one. (Imagine that!) In defining the tasks, I initially created a “Vendor Interfaces” workitem. I later realized that this task needed to be broken up into smaller tasks. I now have a “Vendor Interfaces” subproject with three workitems in it. To do this, however, I had to delete the “Vendor Interfaces” workitem and recreate it as a subproject… and then re-prioritize that subproject. |

Topic: feature ideas & requests / Scheduling features request I agree, especially with explicit dependencies. I emailed the LiquidPlanner team about that and here was the response: Thanks for your question. That makes absolute sense! I wish I had a better answer. What you are looking for is dependencies. While there is no way to set explicit dependencies in LiquidPlanner, you can imply dependencies between workitems with the same owner by prioritizing items in the projects view. By dragging workitems in the order they need to be completed, the schedule will be generated accordingly, with items downstream scheduled according to when the items upstream are expected to finish. Regarding explicit dependencies between tasks with separate owners, we unfortunately don’t currently offer this utility. However, our lead dev has confirmed it will be done “before March Madness starts.” Several users have told us this is a critical feature and it is our first priority. Keep an eye on the LiquidPlanner Forums to read about new features as we announce them. |
