Topic: help topics / Change a Folder to a Task...? That works for sure but if you have docs attached to the folder, you might want to move those. Remember you can go to the Trash tab and undelete things if you need to. |

Topic: help topics / Change a Folder to a Task...? Unfortunately, that’s a one way trip. You can convert a task to a container but not go the other way. |

Topic: faq / How do I delete a Workspace Thank you :) The truth is you’re very likely to get a speedier response via the forums. We all watch them like hawks including during non-business hours. We’re very passionate about our product and want people to find project success with it. |

Topic: feature ideas & requests / Teams as Task Owner Hi Rolli – that’s a good question. We don’t support it now, but our dev team has been talking about it. The virtual member is a good route, but as you discovered VMs assume one person’s availability. One route is to allow 20 days a week as you’ve suggested, which is pretty straight forward. We’ve also talked about turning the member list into an organizational tree. As you might imagine, that would have some additional management and reporting benefits. I’ll take your post back to the dev team so they know it’s being asked for. If I might suggest a hack (in the truest sense of the word) until we support this, create a virtual resource and label it something like this: Test Team (4x) When you estimate work for the Test Team, just enter an effort estimate that is the work for one person on the team. For example if you anticipated 20-40 days of total work, enter 5-10 days of work. This will of course under count on the total remaining work estimate but the schedule will be roughly right. Lastly (as I’m sure you probably know), this technique is at best only good for roughing out a schedule since different people work on tasks at different rates and often can not perfectly work in sync. I recommend keeping your ranges wider if you use this technique to capture that uncertainty. Thanks, |

Topic: feature ideas & requests / it's hard to use multiple browser tabs I’ll have to let Adam speak to how we handle multiple sessions, but perhaps more importantly, I think you’re going to really like the update we are shipping next week. You’ll be able to update estimates and mark things done from the dashboard. If there is more to it than this for you, let me know. Thanks, Charles. |

Topic: general questions & discussion / Milestones/Promise date as a dependency source Try this, create a project (perhaps at the top of your plan) called “parts delivery”.
Open up the edit panel and go to the scheduling tab. Set the delay until date to the date you expect the parts. Add a task for each part you want to track under it. You can then set dependencies on the parts delivery container as a whole (or on individual parts). To do this go to the new task (e.g. assemble car) and edit the task. On the dependencies tab you can form the dependency on parts. |

Topic: general questions & discussion / Resource working in simultaneous tasks Hi Steve, I wanted to say thanks for the long post; I’ve read it a couple of times and need to come back to it. We’ve been pretty busy around here getting ready for the next release. |

Topic: feature ideas & requests / Search, Contact Info, Revision history, Last log-in 1) It looks like you might have missed the search tab. We do search a little differently because you can search the whole space or use the quick filter controls to restrict your search. 2) Contact info makes sense, or at least a note field where you can add what you’d like. 3) We don’t keep multiple versions of the notes you can revert to. You can look at the history tab and see a retrospective view of the changes make to the item. We may consider this in the future. 4) We have this information; it’s a reasonable thing to add to the members tab. Thanks so much, |

Topic: general questions & discussion / Recurring Meetings We’ll be adding support for dependencies in the duplicate function in a upcoming release. Looking at our schedule, it may make it into the August 08 update; if not, then the September 08 update. |

Topic: feature ideas & requests / unique id and jump-to Sure that makes sense. We have a bunch of things we want to add to the product to make it more efficient and easy to use for case management. We can look at moving the ID reference stuff up and delivering it earlier. |

Topic: feature ideas & requests / Global Priority Thank you. You can actually do this right now on the Estimate tab. Go to the actions menu, advanced actions, custom columns. Note, in our upcoming release in August, this will be easier to find and you will be able to add columns to the schedule view as well. |

Topic: general questions & discussion / User name changing when virtual user accepts invite Hi Patrick – We didn’t think of this case. The current design is that the member gets to set their nickname. It’s perfectly reasonable that the space owner should be able to override this. I’ll add it to our product plan. We anticipated the virtual user feature to be used for things like “TBH SQL Dev” and figured we change he a nick name to something that would identify the person being identified the most uniquely (email). |
