Help Guide > Importing and Exporting Data > Importing From a Spreadsheet
Importing Spreadsheet (CSV) data:
LiquidPlanner allows you to import data from a spreadsheet in CSV format, which means you don’t have to start from scratch after you’ve already created a file.
File size: LiquidPlanner can create a maximum of 500 tasks per import. Typically not every line item in an import file translates to a LiquidPlanner task; but you still want to bear this in mind if you have a large file to import. With that limit as a guideline, you may have to break a large file into separate files for import into LiquidPlanner.
Step 1 - in the Projects view, go to Add > Import Project and choose "Import from a Spreadsheet":
Step 2 - upload the CSV file:
Step 3 - review column mappings:
Step 4 - review resource mappings:
Step 5 - preview imported data and click "next" to start the import:

When you view the CSV import preview, you might see that some of your task names wrap. Don't worry, they'll look perfect when you look at the data in your workspace.
- Add a column for Item Type, and populate the field with the word "event" (otherwise, we'll assume it's a task)
- For the event Start date, map to the field Delay Until
- For the event End date, map to the field Deadline (formerly Promise Date)
