Max Effort and Risk Alerts
In the Edit Pane for any plan item, there is a field called Max Effort. Use this field to record the maximum number of hours (or days) that you have budgeted for that plan item. For example, here is a project that has a budget of 100 hours:

LiquidPlanner will alert against Max Effort at two levels:
You'll see a red flame if the expected total hours (A +B) for that plan item equals or exceeds the Max Effort value:

You'll see a yellow flag if the worst-case total hours (A +B) equals or exceeds the Max Effort Value:

Tip: if you don't see any of the columns above in your plan, you can easily expose them.
