Changing the Workspace Owner

If the current owner is still with your organization

The current owner can email support@liquidplanner.com to request the change, or follow these steps to make the change yourself:

  • The current owner must first change the status of the intended owner to 'co-owner'.  Go to workspace > members & access control > member list, and click the “active member” status link next to the name of the person you’re designating as co-owner.  Select the co-owner status and click save.
  • Now this co-owner should go to the billing screen (workspace > billing settings) and make any edit, even something nominal like changing a 0 to 0.0.   Any person who makes changes to billing screen will automatically be converted to the space owner.
  • The person who previously was the owner will now have the status of co-owner.  If that's not appropriate, be sure to to change that person's access level in the Members list.

If the current owner is no longer with your organization

Due to our strict security policy, LiquidPlanner is not authorized to change the workspace owner unless the request is made by the current owner.   If the workspace owner is no longer with your organization, follow this process:

  • Have your email administrator re-route the current owner's email to an appropriate person at your organization.
  • That person can then go to the LiquidPlanner sign in page and request a password reset for the current owner's email address.  (The reset verification email will be sent to that email address, which is why you needed to re-route it.)
  • After resetting the password, that person can sign into LiquidPlanner as the owner and follow the steps above to designate a co-owner and go from there.
  • Please remember that we have this policy to ensure that your organization has exclusive control over the access rights decisions in LiquidPlanner.
