Availability

Best Practice Tip:  your availability should reflect the number of hours that you're available for LiquidPlanner project work.  Don’t forget to take into account the typical amount of non-project work you do in a day. Some people limit their availability to 6 hours a day instead of 8 to give them 2 hours for overhead tasks such as meetings, process work, or email.

To set your own availability go to Settings > My Profile > Edit.  You'll see the availability section as seven boxes, one for each day of the week.   Enter the number of hours you’re available each day.  For example if you work half time, you might enter 5 hours a day, Monday – Thursday and 0 hours on Friday.  Note that you can also set your your typical Daily Start Time.

Workspace owners and co-owners may change availability for other team members by going to the members tab and reviewing their profile details or clicking on the links in the availability column of the member list.

Email notification preferences

This is where you indicate the frequency with which you’d like to receive each type of email notification - never, realtime, hourly, daily or weekly.  There are three types of email notifications in LiquidPlanner:

Upcoming Tasks simply presents you with a list of your tasks that are scheduled for the next 4 weeks.

The next two email notifications will be sent to you when certain actions are performed by other people in your workspace.  For obvious reasons, we don't notify you of changes that you make yourself.

Recent Changes captures the following:

  • Items newly assigned to you
  • Changes to items that you already own
  • Changes to items that you are watching
  • Comments that are addressed specifically to you, or associated to items you own, or associated to items you are watching.

Recent Comments is a subset of Recent Changes, and it captures only the discussion comments.
