Getting the Most out of Your Free Trial

Familiarize yourself with the "Liquid Method" before loading a lot of data into your workspace

Learn about priority-based scheduling, project building blocks, and team collaboration features like comments and email notifications. Adding a few individual test items or playing with the sample data works well for this process. Once you've gotten the basics down, you can get started making things a bit more personal.

Add a real Project or two into the system

Experiment with deadline dates, resource assignments, commenting, and reprioritizing.  Now would be a good time to invite a select few other team leaders into your workspace to join in the evaluation.

Think about how LiquidPlanner can be molded to fit your team

In LiquidPlanner, Packages form the building blocks for managing tasks across projects.  Do you want to use them for Agile sprints? Or maybe create one Package for each month?  Or maybe just group projects within "Active," "Pending," or "On Hold" Packages? This is the first step to becoming a planning genius.

Give the rest of the team a taste of LiquidPlanner

It might not be time yet to ask the larger team to log in and participate in the workspace (although some people like to do this right away!). But showing team members what the tool looks and feels like, either in a meeting or individually (without asking for a time commitment or detailed feedback), can help set the stage for an eventual roll-out.Make a list of open questions and get some answers.

You can usually find most of what you need in this Help Guide or User Forums on the LiquidPlanner website. But if you want quick answers or have a specific question, don't hesitate to call the Sales or Support team for a little one-on-one counseling. They can help determine if LiquidPlanner is the right fit for you quickly and efficiently.
