Availability

Your availability should reflect the number of hours that you're available for LiquidPlanner project work each day.  Don’t forget to take into account the typical amount of non-project work you do in a day. For example, some people limit their availability to 6 hours a day instead of 8 to give them 2 hours for overhead tasks such as meetings, process work, or email.

It's important that your availability is accurate, because LiquidPlanner references it when calculating the start dates for your tasks.  LiquidPlanner will never over-book you!  It will simply push out your task start dates as necessary to respect your availability.

Workspace owners and co-owners can change availability for other team members by going to the members list and clicking the link in the availability column.

Email Notification Preferences

This is where you indicate the frequency with which you’d like to receive two types of email notifications:

Upcoming Tasks is sent daily, and it gives you a list of your tasks that are scheduled for the next two days.  If you'd rather not get this notification, just set the frequency to 'Never'.

Recent Changes notifies you when certain edits are made to tasks that you own or watch, but only when these edits are made by other people.  For obvious reasons, we don't notify you of changes that you make yourself.   Recent Change triggers include:

  • When an item is newly assigned to you
  • When a comment is addressed specifically to you
  • When any of the following are added or changed on a plan item that you own or watch:
    • Description
    • Detailed Notes
    • Comments
    • Deadline Date (formerly known as a Promise Date)
    • Milestone Date
    • Event Date
    • Attachments
    • Links
    • Max Effort
    • Custom Fields
    • Shared with portal status
    • Done vs. Active Status
    • Project, Package or Folder association

You can choose to receive Recent Change notifications in Realtime or in a Daily digest.  If you'd rather not receive this notification, just set the frequency to 'Never'.

Read more about these notifications in our Email Integration help article.
