THE SCHEDULE

LiquidPlanner's Plan tab is a living report on to itself. Here the plan is showing how a single promise date set on a high-level tasklist inherits to all the sub-items of the tasklist and automatically raises alerts on any item that is at risk of not getting done on time. The red highlighting (and available filters) make it easy to spot trouble. The snapshot of the plan can be saved to a PDF file and easily attached to Project Portals.

WORKLOAD

Get a bird’s eye view of where your team is spending it’s time with our new Workload Analysis view. You can zoom in on specific projects and tasklists, yet still see other commitments for the project team. See availability, see crunch time, see the way forward.

REMAINING TREND (a.k.a BURNDOWN)

This chart shows the history of remaining work for projects and tasks plus a projection to the probable landing zone. You see three lines representing the expected remaining work (black) and the low and high estimates (blue). Can your team hit that rate of progress?

SCHEDULE TREND (a.k.a. THE SLIP REPORT)

This report is like the clear light of morning streaming in an hour too early. We also like to call it the slip report. It shows you where your project was expected to exit at any point in it’s little project lifetime. This project was steady on the rails for a while but it blew past it’s promise date in the last two weeks. Why did it slip? All the answers should be in the comments and change history of the workspace.

TOTAL TREND

What does the cone of uncertainty look like for real projects and tasks? Not the ideal cone, that’s for sure. You have to work at it, but the rewards are very real. In LiquidPlanner, the total trend report plots the ranged estimate roll-up (low-high) over time so you can see the work expanding and contracting both in total work and range of uncertainty. The growing green mountain is the actual work done.

PROGRESS REPORT

This report shows a graph of what has been done by person for a given Client, Project, or Tasklist. The most recently worked on are shown as well with their current status.

UPCOMING REPORT

This report provides a quick outlook of upcoming workload. At a glance you can see who has the most work and who has the most uncertainty in that work.

TIMESHEET DATA

Export your timesheet data into your spreadsheet program or accounting software for detailed analysis and billing. If you load a ratesheet, then LiquidPlanner will calculate financial totals based on effort logged.
