A small team of us traveled to Phoenix last week to participate in the PMI Global Congress 2014—North America. This yearly project management extravaganza is always a great opportunity to meet other people in our industry, talk to potential customers, give demos of LiquidPlanner, and tempt people to come to our booth by providing hot buttered popcorn, donuts, and chips.
PMI (Project Management Institute) is a global nonprofit organization for project management professionals, which offers members resources like educational and networking opportunities. There’s a big presence among college and universities that offer executive degrees in project management. Western Carolina University, The George Washington University, Capella University, University of Phoenix and many more educational institutions were there—all of whom offer a variety of project management certifications and degrees, either onsite or online. There are so many ways to hone your expertise these days! We talked to a couple of folks from Oxford, which offers a two-year part-time Masters in Major Programme Management.
Now, the good stuff: party time!
This year LiquidPlanner sponsored part of PMI’s first-ever block party, held at CityScape. Our event took place at Copper Blues. This after-party pulled in a big crowd, and an impressive crush of people let loose and listened to the band which played creative covers of classic pop songs.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by the LiquidPlanner booth—whether for the treats or to get to know us a little better, we’re always happy to see you.
Till next year, we already can’t wait.
If you were there, tell us what you thought of PMI.
