Title and description of what you do:
I work with a group of incredibly smart, passionate people who are LiquidPlanner Gurus! They continually amaze me with their thoroughness and proficiency. I’m working hard to learn from them so I can support our customers with the same level of expertise.
What was it that made you know LP was the perfect fit for you?
My background is in three areas – project management; managing tech resources, and education. LP Support is all about educating people to use our innovative technology resource for project management. Could it be any more perfect?
How do you beat boredom?
As a full time working Mom, I have no idea what that is. I look forward to it someday!
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Tiny bit obsessive.
What do you appreciate the most in your co-workers?
I love how generous they are with their time and knowledge. They are so confident and comfortable in their work – even when I’m watching over their shoulder or listening in on a call. They just dive right in and bring me along for the ride.
A favorite vacation spot, and why?
Rush Lake in Crosslake, Minnesota. My whole family – all 20 of us – vacation together for a week every summer. 2014 will be our 17th annual Lombardi Family Vacation. We enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, lots of games and laughter. My four siblings and I each live in different states so it’s the one time a year we can all be together. It’s a real treat for my parents; they just love seeing all 10 grandchildren at the same time.
Your personal work motto.
“If it’s worth doing, it’s worth over-doing it.” (More of a life motto actually and it occasionally gets me in trouble with my husband.)
What’s your strategy for Mondays?
Go to bed early on Sunday night!
What music are you listening to these days?
Old school radio. 107.7 The End. Alternative rock.
Favorite or most-used LP feature:
My number one spot right now is the Learning and Support page on our website. Wow.
Advice for anyone looking for a job right now?
Be open – you never know who will lead you to your next great job! When I moved here in August the first person I met was the property manager for our corporate rental. She wanted to know all about my plans, what I used to do, and what I was looking for. At first I was a little vague and just responded politely but she kept asking, so I decided what the heck, and launched into my whole history for her. A few days later she called to say she thought a client of hers was involved with a company that might be interesting to me. She couldn’t remember the name but it had something to do with “projects and technology, like software.” So I Googled his name, +project management +Seattle and up came LiquidPlanner! As they say, the rest is history.
