Q&A: Meet Alison Meier, LiquidPlanner’s Community Marketing Manager
Who gives LiquidPlanner social media love? Our Alison! She’s the Oz behind the curtain of our Facebook fun, our tweets, LinkedIn updates, along with organizing tradeshow appearances and other affairs of the public nature. Alison also heads up our Tuesday company lunches, an hour where we sit around, nosh and chat.
What was it that made you know LP was the perfect fit for you?
The work-life balance – I’m all about coming in and working hard for the day and then packing it up to go do something fun.
Do you have a ritual or routine to the start of your work day?
I start off every day with a reward: coffee. I come in, open all my social pages, respond to comments, get the first post of the day up – then, coffee time!
What are three things we should know about you?
I’m addicted to music, I love wine and good food, and enjoy doing things with my close friends.
Your idea of happiness at work is –
Being trusted to get work done. Micromanaging stresses me out!
If you could have any other job, what would it be?
I would either be a talent scout at a record label or a winemaker.
A favorite vacation spot, and why?
Zihuatanejo, Mexico. There are so many beautiful spots to relax and lay on the beach. Sunshine is my #1 requirement when vacationing!
What music are you listening to these days?
Wild Cub, Gin Wigmore, Django Django, Frightened Rabbit… to name a few. The list could go on and on!
Favorite or most-used LP feature:
Checklists! In all of my previous jobs, I would always carry around a notebook with my to-do’s and cross them off as I did them. With checklists, it’s my digital notebook – it’s so satisfying to click the checkbox and see the item get that strike-through!
