LP: Briefly describe an average work day for you at LiquidPlanner:

Brooke: Getting to know my customers’ business goals and challenges, and shadowing other Product Advisors to get up to speed on all of our product’s capabilities.

How did you know LiquidPlanner was the perfect fit for you?

A few months ago I had a chance to come on site as LiquidPlanner’s former ADP Account Manager. At that time LP had just about 20 employees and was growing quickly, and I could tell right away that the company was going places—fast! I knew I wanted to be a part of this exciting, fast-paced environment, so I applied for a sales position shortly thereafter!

How do you stay productive and focused during the day?

Starting the morning off with a team meeting is always energizing and motivating because I am able to learn so much from my colleagues’ wins and successes.

What do you appreciate the most in your co-workers?

I’m inspired by the skills and talent of everyone in our office. Also, everyone goes out of their way to help people and give feedback, and to me, this is the type of collaboration that drives our Company.

Do you have a ritual or routine to the start of your workday?

I like to make a nice protein smoothie to drink on the go to get me energized!

What’s your idea of happiness at work?

The best work days are the ones where you get so focused on whatever you’re doing that the day flies by. Also, I’m most happy when I am continuously learning and improving—which goes hand-in-hand with a successful sales career in SaaS.

What book has most influenced your career?

The Challenger Sale” by Matthew Dixon and Brent Adamson is one. I’m currently reading “SPIN Selling” by Neil Rackham and I think it’s going to be a great book for this job as well!

Interview tips for anyone looking for a job right now?

Confidence and preparation. Also having a LinkedIn account is a must.

A few things you do outside the office?

Yoga and live music. I also love to travel and dabble in some iPhone photography.
