Commitment to Education
Among our core values, one that we hold close to our hearts at LiquidPlanner is:
Always be learning
One of the ways we support this value is by giving back to the educational community and offering discounts to higher learning institutions worldwide. In fact, LiquidPlanner currently supports more than 1,600 users in the community, from colleges such as Berkley and MIT, to Harvard, Purdue and the University of Alberta.
We also give our employees time to volunteer in their community, and many of our team members choose to spend their time giving back to an educational facility of their choice. Our CEO, Liz Pearce, plays an active role in the Seattle Girls School and participates in mentorship programs with the University of Washington and the Seattle startup community. LiquidPlanner’s developer team is actively involved with the Rails community and Ada Developers Academy, a training school for women. As you can see, our team likes to devote time to helping educate others.
As an organization, and as individuals, we’re driven by the desire for continuous growth and learning. We also offer our team members a yearly stipend to use for classes, conferences, workshops, books or online courses.
LiquidPlanner is comprised of people who are naturally curious, smart and proactive about gaining knowledge in their disciplines and industry. But just as important as it is to gain information, we believe in sharing our experiences and knowledge with others. We believe sharing is not just as a social responsibility, but also a resourceful way to come together to better understand the problems and opportunities we share—and can solve—as communities.
