Ted Hawksford

Chief Executive Officer

With 25 years of diverse professional experiences, Ted has accrued expertise in leading business transformations and developing teams to achieve large scale growth. His business-driven people strategies have been essential in helping companies achieve overall business goals, including sales growth, customer loyalty, and productivity gains as well as talent acquisition, retention, and experience. Before joining LiquidPlanner in February 2019, Ted was vice president of human resources at Restaurants Unlimited, Inc., where he contributed to leading organizational strategy, promoting operational effectiveness, and elevating team performance through innovative leadership. Ted’s prior roles include leadership capacities at Booking.com, Fluke Corporation, and Microsoft. Ted graduated from the University of Washington with an executive master of business administration and obtained his undergraduate degree in hospitality business management from Washington State University.


Charles Seybold

Charles cofounded LiquidPlanner with a vision to transform online project management through innovation and improved design. Charles has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. For more than 10 years, he was a front-line software engineer in various startups before he moved into program management at Microsoft and, later, into portfolio and executive management at Expedia.com. Charles has been designing and building software tools in one form or another for more than three decades and is an active member of the Seattle startup community.


Torrey Wogen

Vice President of Sales

As VP of the high-performance sales teams at LiquidPlanner, Torrey leads the various sales departments in strategic development. Before joining LP, Torrey was a VP in sales at FactSet, a Connecticut-based financial data and analytics company. For nearly 15 years, he worked in various client-facing roles, ultimately becoming a senior manager and specialist in the sale, deployment, and enhancement of data service products. Torrey earned his BBA in finance from the University of Iowa. He enjoys spending time with his family and listening to music and is a faithful fan of the Hawkeyes.


Jennifer Ash Morrisey

Jennifer Ash Morrisey

Vice President of Product

Jen is passionate about helping customers realize the full value of LiquidPlanner and is hyper-focused on providing a world-class customer experience. She has been a key member of the LiquidPlanner team since joining in 2009. Recognized for leadership, she pioneered early roles in the company from sales and business development to customer success management, where her vision has transformed our approach to customer partnership and advocacy. From her prior background in project management consulting, Jen brings a clear understanding of the project management space and understands customer needs firsthand. Jen graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a double major in business and art history. She enjoys adventuring around the world and loves running, yoga, and spending time with her family.


Shanna Mikaelian

Vice President of Growth & Business Operations

Shanna creates and implements all of Liquidplanner’s sales and marketing campaigns, working with all cross-functional teams while simultaneously serving as the guide for growth and strategic direction. Previously, she held sales and business operations leadership roles with companies such as Vertafore, Wizards of the Coast, and Philips. Shanna graduated from Johnson and Wales University with a BS in marketing. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading a good book, and serving as a merit badge counselor for Boy Scouts of America.


Taja Hanley

Taja Hanley

Director of Human Resources

Taja ensures our LiquidPlanner programs and policies provide employees with everything they need, from medical insurance to office massages. She has nearly a decade of HR experience. Taja graduated from Whitworth University with a masters in clinical, counseling, and applied psychology. She practiced as a child and family therapist before transitioning to the field of human relations. Outside of the office, Taja is found spending time with family or skiing.


Sheri Eames

Controller

Sheri is responsible for leading LiquidPlanner’s finance team and continuing to build a strong financial foundation for the company. She has more than 20 years’ experience in finance and has worked for Becker&Mayer!, Simply Blue Apparel, and Mortenson Construction. A graduate from Central Washington University with a BS in accounting, Sheri enjoys spending her time outside the office geocaching and antiquing with her husband.

Jason Carlson

Cofounder

lp-charles-seyboldJason cofounded LiquidPlanner with Charles Seybold in March 2006. Jason began his software career at Microsoft working as a test lead, where he focused on performance and scalability of the MSN Expedia product. He then spent eight years at Expedia.com, first as a software test manager and later as director of quality management. Throughout his tenure, he was dedicated to ensuring the stability and scalability of Expedia’s world-class internet travel platform. Jason has a computer science degree from Minnesota State University and is undeniably obsessed with maintaining a high standard of quality in every aspect of software development—from design and development to testing and customer support.

Steven Hamerslag

Member, Board of Directors

lp-steve-hamerslagSteven is a cofounder of TVC Capital with more than 34 years’ experience starting, growing, and leading high-tech enterprises. His knowledge of enterprise technology solutions is further leveraged by his extensive sales, marketing, and general management experience, having started and acted as CEO of two publicly held companies. Before founding TVC Capital, Steven was president and CEO of J2 Global Communications, a provider of communication services, and also founded MTI Technology, a provider of enterprise storage solutions. Steven serves on the board of directors of publicly held CorVel Corporation (NASDAQ: CRVL) as well as privately held Digital Map Products, Halo Business Intelligence, Inc., Mercent Corporation, Limeade, Inc., and Anametrix, Inc. Steven holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Geoff Entress

lp-geoff-entressGeoff is an experienced entrepreneur and investor as well as a current venture partner with Voyager Capital in Seattle. Previously, he was a venture partner with Madrona Venture Group, a Seattle venture capital firm, and a securities lawyer with Seattle law firm Perkins Coie. He has managed financial analysis and reporting groups at both Salomon Brothers in New York and the Prudential Home Mortgage Company in New Jersey. Jeff has also held positions at Jones Day, Mellon Bank, Priority Investment Management, and Duquesne Capital Management. In addition, Geoff serves on the board of several privately held companies. Geoff received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, a master’s degree in industrial administration from Carnegie Mellon University, and a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School.

Bill Bryant

Advisory Board Member

lp-bill-bryantBill has had early and instrumental involvement in more than 20 leading software and internet companies, serving in a variety of capacities, including founder, senior executive, investor, and board member. He is a venture partner at Draper Fisher Jurvetson and is a former partner of Atlas Ventures, where he originated the company’s investment in Isilon Systems. Prior to Atlas, Bill cofounded Qpass and served as its CEO and chairman. He also cofounded and served as president of Netbot, which built Jango, the first comparison shopping agent for the internet. Bill has consulted extensively for Microsoft, Real Networks, Getty Images, and Corbis and has helped a half dozen startups reach liquidity. He is a popular Northwest-area speaker on the topics of technology, venture capital, entrepreneurship, and startups. Bill received a bachelor’s degree in European history and an MBA and PhD candidacy in business strategy, all from the University of Washington.

Steve McConnell

lp-steve-mcconnellSteve is CEO and chief software engineer at Construx, where he writes books and articles, teaches classes, and oversees Construx’s software development practices. Steve is the author of Software Estimation: Demystifying the Black Art (2006), Professional Software Development (2004), Code Complete (1993, 2004), Software Project Survival Guide (1998), and Rapid Development (1996). His first two books won Software Development magazine’s Jolt Excellence award for best programming books of the years they were published. Steve has worked in the desktop software industry since 1984 and has expertise in rapid development methodologies, project estimation, software construction practices, and third-party contract management. In 1998, readers of Software Development magazine named Steve one of the three most influential people in the software industry along with Bill Gates and Linus Torvalds. Steve was editor in chief of IEEE Software magazine from 1998 to 2002.
