LiquidPlanner Launches Candid “Todd Talks” Series with First Guest Tod Leiweke, CEO of NHL Seattle

CEO Todd Humphrey hosts monthly podcast with industry leaders to get unique insights on creating company culture, growing successful teams and building powerful brands

SEATTLE—(Dec. 4, 2018)—Today, LiquidPlanner introduced its first Todd Talks podcast series with Tod Leiwke, CEO of NHL Seattle on the day Seattle was awarded its new NHL franchise. The two talk candidly about how to build a successful fan base and create a company culture and brand that’s both inspiring and motivating here.

“You’ve heard of the 12th Man, right? The extra guy on the Seahawks football field—the fans. Our goal with Todd Talks is to discuss how you build that in a company. How do you find that opportunity to create a culture and be able to build upon it,” said Humphrey. “We are thrilled to have Tod as our first guest. Tod talks about his plans to build Seattle into a world class hockey city—from creating a world class fan base, building a technologically advanced new arena, and giving back to the community. He also shares some thoughts on his time with Paul Allen and how it impacted his life.

I think fans inspire players and when players become inspired, they further inspire the fans. That’s the perfect circle of professional sports,” said Leiweke. “You need to build a soul to your team. What does your brand look like, your building, etc. Create a magical place that makes your fans feel connected and special. Try to connect with them on a visceral level—feel part of the movement and create a special energy.”
