CEO Liz Pearce on What Makes LiquidPlanner Different [Video]

Earlier this spring, a team of LiquidPlanner folks went to Vegas to participate in Interop 2015. While we were there CEO Liz Pearce sat down at the InformationWeek News Desk from the Interop show floor to talk about the powerful secret sauce of our project management software. She tells Stephanie Stahl, VP of Content Marketing at UBM about paint points we solve; our differentiators and how we’re innovative.

Watch this minute-and-a-half video, or jump below to read the highlights.

Here are the highlights of the interview:

Stephanie: Let’s talk about some of your customer pain points. What problem is this product designed to solve?

Liz:
Pretty much everyone we’ve talked to at the show has a similar challenge with project management. Which is, the tools that have been around for a long time, just don’t work the way teams work anymore. Business moves so quickly and the tools can’t keep up with that pace of change.

Stephanie: What is the most innovative part [of LiquidPlanner]?

Liz: We have a scheduling engine that automates a lot of the work that has been done manually by PMs for decades. We make it easy to see and predict when your work can get done. It’s easy—it’s based on priority, it’s automated and it takes uncertainty into account.

Stephanie: How do you differentiate yourself from your competitors?

Liz: Almost all of our competitors use the old Microsoft Project style of project management. Ours is more agile, it adapts to change and it lets you be fluid and move quickly.
