LiquidPlanner: Briefly describe an average work day for you at LiquidPlanner:

Erin: I work with new customers to make sure they get off on the right foot with LiquidPlanner. I also support LiquidPlanner’s larger accounts on an ongoing basis to make sure that they have the resources that they need, and that they’re getting the most out of the tool.

How did you know LiquidPlanner was the perfect fit for you?

It became clear early on that the LiquidPlanner team is singularly focused on Getting Things Done! The team is very positive and task oriented. Everyone wants to make sure our customers are getting great project management software and that they have the tools to make the most of it.

How do you stay productive and focused during the day?

Lists! Is there anything as satisfying as crossing things off a list? I also bribe myself with snacks- “when you finish these 5 tasks, you can go get an apple.”

What do you appreciate the most in your co-workers?

Everyone is in a good mood all the time. It makes it super easy to be positive and efficient.

Do you have a ritual or routine to the start of your workday?

Coffee, snuggles with my dog, and reading the news on my phone.

Your idea of happiness at work is:

If my clients are happy, I’m happy.

What book has most influenced your career?

Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg

Interview tips for anyone looking for a job right now?

Network! If you’re looking for a job (or an apartment or a date), tell lots of people what you’re looking for. You’ll be amazed where opportunities come from. Also (and this is Interviewing 101) but once you have the interview, do your research. Be thorough!

A few things you do outside the office?

A lot of my life outside of work centers around food and my dog. I love to cook, bake, try new restaurants and plan vacations to places that have amazing food (Italy and France are my favorites). I also enjoy taking my dog, Watson, for long walks or hikes and then watching movies with him on the couch.
