Interop

If you haven’t heard by now, we’ll be attending Interop next week, a fabulously large IT conference. This year it’s in Las Vegas and we can’t wait!

There are a few key themes we’re noticing that will be part of the conference. Here’s a sampling of what to expect in Vegas next week:

IT automation has been a major theme in the news this year and is touted to be the future of IT industry. There are a few sessions that focus on this topic, including a roundtable called Network Automation: Tales from the Script. This session encourages folks to share their IT automation successes, failures and everything in-between. Another interesting track is A Practical Look at Network Automation. This talk will focus on how to bring network automation and programmability to life for the traditional network engineer, with a focus on how to make networks more consumable.

Women in tech is another major theme this year. We’ve been reading about how Interop is addressing the gender divide in IT by seeking out female speakers, offering leadership sessions on diversity, and developing networking events for women in IT. It’s a topic that our own CEO, Liz Pearce has been championing for years and we’re thrilled that leading industry leaders like InformationWeek’s Susan Nunziata are spearheading the conversation this year. Head here for a list of female-lead sessions at the conference.

As you might guess security & risk management is a huge trend in technology broadly, but one that every IT leader must now address. Interop is chalk-full of security panels and working sessions from the daylong cyber security crash course put together by the editors of Dark Reading, to panels like Go Hack Yourself: Offensive Security Tools for Enterprise Defenders.

This is only a small snapshot of everything that’s going on at Interop. Check out the program to see all that’s going on!

Plus, don’t forget to stop by booth #2327 to meet the LiquidPlanner team, take a demo and pick up a swag item or two. Wednesday we’ll be hosting happy hour so be sure to stop by for snacks, drinks, games, gear and to talk about how we can help you implement all the great technology you see at Interop.

See you there!
